Corporate Responsibility a Must-Have for Your Employer Brand

Recruitment

At Alaant, corporate responsibility is built into our mission statement as well as our core values. It is important to us that we practice what we preach, and we pride ourselves on making this a priority in our company.

In today’s world, corporate responsibility is no longer a “nice to have”; it has become essential to attracting and retaining top talent. Many employees now base their decisions to join a workplace around how good a corporate citizen the company is and how they’ll be able to contribute and make an impact, via community involvement, in something bigger than bottom line results.

4 reasons why corporate responsibility is so important:

  1. Purpose matters. The millennial generation is quickly becoming the most significant group in the workforce.  In many surveys, they have answered that it is important to them to not just find a job but to find a meaningful job. They want their job to have an impact on society as well as their well-being. This group is our current and future talent pool and we need to do everything we can to attract and retain them. They also have the largest impact in the consumer market making belief-driven purchase decisions.  They tend to shop at companies that have a mission or are actively supporting the greater good.

  2. Your employee morale benefits. It boosts employee engagement.  Employees like working for a company that has a good public image and when employees are happy, they produce at a higher level.  When the company sets the standard of giving back to the community the employees tend to follow that lead, making them feel good about themselves and their company.

  3. Enhances brand reputation. A brand can make or break your success and your imprint on the regional community and your level of involvement  plays a huge role in how your brand is perceived.  Corporate responsibility initiatives improve public image. Having a positive public image will help to attract and retain good employees as well as drive your business growth.

  4. Positive economic impact. When we focus on helping our local communities, it benefits us all.  It lifts up consumers who in turn spend money at local businesses, which helps these businesses to grow, invest in the future, and hire more people.

Not sure where to start?  That is where our Employer Brand Strategy comes in. We will work with you to determine what is important to your company and then we’ll help you build a strategy to start integrating a corporate responsibility program. Let’s connect.
