Here's what's happening this week:
Last Week’s Poll Results:
Q: Is your workplace accommodating & inclusive for neurodivergent employees?
23.5% - Yes
28% - No
48.5% - What is “neurodivergent”?
Neurodivergent people includes any person with varying mental or cognitive/neurological function from what is considered typical or “normal”. This includes individuals on the Autism Spectrum, but it is not limited to Autism. People affected with ADHD, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, OCD and PTSD are a few other examples. You have likely encountered a neurodivergent person and may have not known. They often do not self-identify and because of this your hiring practices, company culture and other work interactions should be reviewed to be sure you are being inclusive and accommodating to all. Employers are missing out on a great talent pool that includes Neurodivergent candidates that have been overlooked for a variety of reasons – let’s try to change that!
