The Right Time to Hire, “HR in the Car” Ep 17 w/ Annmarie Lanesey, and More!
Here's what's happening this week:
Last Week’s QOTW Poll Results:
Q: Do you a believe you're a victim of “Quiet Hiring” in your organization?
- Yes – 19%
- No – 21%
- What's quiet hiring? – 60%
WOW! With all the hype out there, we are surprised that the majority of poll respondents did not know what quiet hiring was- OR unfortunately they don’t realize that it may be happening to them! Quiet Hiring is a term that is gaining traction in which an Employer assigns more work on the existing staff rather than hiring for new employees into open roles with no change to pay or status of the existing affected employee. Don’t get us wrong- helping out and being a team player when the workload is high because of many reasons should always be assumed, but this is when an Employer takes advantage and crosses that line. So, think about it- could this be happening in your organization without your realization? All in all, its not a great practice long term for employers it will inevitably create higher rates of stress, burnout and attrition. Let’s connect, we have great options to help you get your workforce to full strength without feeling the need to Quiet Hire.
