The noise is everywhere- lay-offs in big tech companies, recession is looming, thousands of jobs being added to payroll. It’s hard to plan when everyone is saying something contradictory.
I’m here to share my top 3 strategies for Recruiters in 2023. I want to focus on things that may help all businesses and hiring managers.
1) Think about flexibility for your company and the roles you need to fill- how can the work be done; can you alternate schedules? Can the job duties be shared or shuffled around? Most people are not looking for 100% remote work, they desire flexibility to do both their job and care for their personal responsibilities.
2) Keep the golden rule top of mind when interacting with candidates and applicants. Think about how you would like to be communicated, followed up with and given closure - do the same- one of the biggest complaints I hear from candidates was lack of communication through the process- not that they didn’t get the job.
3) Always be recruiting- even if all your roles are filled. Nourish your talent communities, continue to pipeline, build relationships, and build your recruitment brand- more proactive work now will pay off later.
