Building Your Career or Workforce? Alaant Has You Covered This Fall

This time of year, as summer fades and fall arrives, often signals a fresh start: from the first day of school and a new football season to the return of pumpkin spice lattes. The same can be said for your professional life. Whether you’re seeking to advance your career or build a better workforce, this is a great time to get the ball rolling.

Even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the business environment, the Alaant team is excited about a busy fall season ahead. We are gearing up for a number of programs designed to connect professionals with great careers and employers with top-performing employees. Here are a few that might be perfect for you.

518 Business Connect – Virtual Networking Event

One of the toughest aspects of the shift to remote work is the impact on relationships with fellow professionals, whether colleagues in the office or employees at other organizations. We’ve got you covered with our 518 Business Connect – Virtual Networking Event, presented in partnership with Groff NetWorks.

These bi-weekly events provide a chance to catch up with fellow businesspeople, stay in touch with the current state of business affairs, and assist each other through networking. Our next program will be held via Zoom on Thursday, September 17 from 11 a.m. to noon. There is no cost to attend; simply pre-register here.

The Capital Region Chamber’s Talent and Inclusion Summit

Alaant has long believed that diversity strengthens our workforce, enhances our community, and is a critical element in helping employers attract, engage and retain a strong team. And so, we’re proud to again be a presenting sponsor of the Capital Region Chamber’s Talent and Inclusion Summit, to be held Thursday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to noon.

This virtual event will feature two keynote speakers and several panel presentations, including one moderated by Alaant Managing Partner Miriam Dushane. It is designed to share new approaches and best practices to elevate your organization’s talent development and diversity and inclusion strategies. For information and registration, click here.

Alaant’s Virtual Career Counseling Series

Launched in May to assist individuals seeking job opportunities in a labor market upended by the pandemic, our Virtual Career Counseling Series has been hugely successful. We’ve assisted hundreds of professionals, providing up-to-date information on job market trends and hiring processes; offering advice on preparing for a job search; and sharing best practices for pursuing a new opportunity. Participants have a chance to ask questions, and to schedule a complimentary one-on-one virtual meeting with an Alaant career advisor as a follow up to the event.

Our next program will be held on Tuesday, September 29. We’ll talk with entry-level job seekers at 10 a.m., and with mid- and senior-level professionals at 11 a.m. The program is free; pre-registration is required by clicking here.

We’d love to have you join us at any or all of these events. Here’s to a productive, safe and fun fall season!
