75% of employers expect hiring to be either a significant challenge or challenging over the next 6 months, up from 60% in the spring.
Employers are seeing encouraging signs as well:

said they are finding candidates both in and out of the region.

More about the 2018 Alaant Fall Hiring Index
The Alaant Hiring Index gives companies unique insight into the Capital Region’s technology job markets. Hiring managers use it to help develop strategies to recruit and retain a highly skilled workforce.
Conducted between October 2 and 18, Alaant collected responses from 88 human resource and hiring managers – split evenly between those from companies with more or less than 200 employees. The next index will be released in spring 2019.
